The Development Committee seeks to support the mission of the WLM by enhancing its financial resources. The primary source of donation to the WLM remains donations from individual ASA members including board members of the WLM and the ASA. Additional contributions are received annually from the Academy of Anesthesiology along with donations from local and state anesthesiology societies, some of whom contribute annually.

A number of donations are received annually as memorials to deceased anesthesiologists who have designated to WLM to receive contributions.

Each member of the committee along with our colleagues on the WLM Board, actively seek donations to both the general endowment and for special purposes at the discretion of the donor. Increased financial support is critical if the WLM is to take the lead in telling the story of anesthesiology, America’s greatest gift to mankind, to a wider audience in the future.
