To look at QuickTime VR panoramas and objects, and to listen to the audio tour, you need the QuickTime VR player.

Viewing panoramas
You can look around in a scene using the mouse or arrow keys.

To use the mouse:

  1. Place the pointer on the scene.
  2. Holding the mouse button down, move the pointer in the direction desired. The farther you drag, the faster you turn.

To use the arrow keys, press the key corresponding to the direction you wish to turn.

Zooming panoramas
You can magnify a part of a panorama for a closer look, or pull back to see a larger area.
  • To zoom in, hold down the Shift key.
  • To zoom out, hold down the Control key.

To change your view while zooming, drag the mouse.

Turning Objects
You turn objects like you turn panoramas: with the mouse or arrow keys.

To use the mouse:

  1. Place the pointer on the object. The pointer turns into a hand.
  2. Press and hold the mouse button. The hand appears to grab the object.
  3. Move the hand to turn the object.

Another way to use the mouse:
If you click near the edge of the window, the pointer turns into an arrow.

  • Click once to turn the object one step.
  • Hold the mouse button down to spin the object continuously.
  • Drag the arrow outside the window to make the object spin faster.

To use the arrow keys, press the key corresponding to the direction you wish to turn.

Playing Audio
When you download an audio file, the QuickTime VR Audio Controller is displayed. It allows you to play, pause, and adjust the volume of the audio.
