M.T. Jenkins, M.D., A Biography by Adolph H. Giesecke, M.D.
Francis F. Foldes, M.D., An Autobiography with contributions from Ephraim S. Siker, M.D.
For almost five decades following WW II, the lives and careers of M.T. Jenkins and Francis F. Foldes epitomized American idealism and medical excellence.
Dr. Jenkins served America during the turbulent years of WWII, and Dr. Foldes emigrated to America from war-torn Europe. Both later attended Harvard, each making unique contributions to the maturation of the specialty and to society as a whole.
Dr. Foldes told most of his life story, but after his death, close friend and colleague E.S. Siker completed the work. Dr. Jenkins did not live to write his own memoirs, but his disciple and successor, A.H. Giesecke, ably illuminated a career that includes a first-hand account of the events following President Kennedy’s assassination.
