Abstract: This book honors the 50th anniversary of the discovery of anesthesia by Horace Wells and consists of three sections. The first narrates the history of the discovery in favor of Wells as the discoverer. The second records the proceedings of the Wells Memorial Celebration held in Hartford, CT in Dec. 1894 and the third consists of records of dentists who were born and/or practiced dentistry in Connecticut.
