Abstract: This report is comprised two parts, the first discusses physiological
experiments on dogs and the second part details experiments designed to
measure the amounts of inspired and expired air in the lungs induced by
artificial means. This report re-affirms the Silvester Method of
Resuscitation which the Society had recommended for adoption by the
Royal Humane Society in 1862.
