Wood Library - Museum of Anesthesiology
The Mission of the Wood Library-Museum of Anesthesiology (WLM) is to “Advance Anesthesiology by Preserving and Sharing its Heritage and Knowledge.”
The WLM is committed to the concept that knowledge of the events and people that shaped our practice is one characteristic that has transformed anesthesiology from a medical trade into a highly respected medical specialty and a proud profession.
Your donations to the WLM General Fund allow us to support the preservation of our heritage through our current activities of the WLM. These include our library services, archives, museum, rare books, fellowships, education and research. Your support will help move these services into the future with the ongoing digitization efforts of our collections. The digitization of our collections from our rare books to our living history series to our museum collections and beyond will allow easy access to all through on-line availability.
Donations to the Patrick Sim, MLS Memorial Fund will honor Patrick Sim, our late Paul M. Wood Distinguished Librarian. Patrick provided over 39 years of service to the WLM, ASA and the anesthesiology community. Donations to this fund will be used to endow the librarian’s position “The Patrick Sim, MLS Librarian.”
